Travelin' The Backroads Again
Driving down the back roads,
With trees towering above,
Letting my mind race back to,
Years treasured and loved.

A carefree teen filled with,
Gusto for fun and living,
Looking back brings a smile for,
A time age seems forgiving.
~~~
Car filled with friends,
Drinking pop and chewing gum,
Listening to the radio and,
Belting out the songs they sung.
~~~
Laughter would rule the day as,
Time with friends we'd spend,
Racing through life as though this,
Time would never end.

Driving down the back roads,
Memories flood the mind,
It's such a joy to return to,
Revisit the years left behind.
